and that ongoing work on the ABOVE-GROUND Silver Line is making my commute to work and back a real nightmare. Tyson’s Corner has already became a horrible gridlock with the construction of an additional lane each way to allow for building the line above-ground right on Rt 7, and I do not even want to think how it is going to be when they actually start building the pilons and the rest IN Tyson’s… Add the construction of hot lanes for the Beltway in the same Tyson’s area and that means NO OTHER WAY to DC or West Falls Church Metro but THROUGH Tyson’s right THROUGH the construction zone… The Dulles now refuses to give any money they collect from the toll road since the new line is being built and the county shuts/cuts bus routes, including those that go to the West Falls Church Metro… Frankly, it is the worse nightmare than taking a Washington Flyer to the Dulles and back instead of a metro and worse than the already existing traffic through Tyson’s…

Yep. A dining companion got the potato dumplings, and I opted for the homemade spatzel. The dumplings were quite good, as they were kind enough to share a bite, but the noodles were nigh unto perfect.

are you sure it was not a German variety of gnocci?? “kartoffl-” is “potato” and it translates like a “potato dumplings” and then it makes sense to pan fry them ) just asking )

One of the reasons that I still go to the much-hated Brighton Beach is the butcher shops ) You can get whatever you want however you want and it is fresh-cut meat… can’t wait till the Lent is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

Yes, the stairs, the stairs, the stairs… and a very weird layout of the car in the train on the 8th line… The bus was interesting, too. I was asking the driver to tell me “when you reach the Place du Justice stop” and he kept saying “around 10-15 minutes” )
