Meat and Cheese: It's What's For Lunch (and Dinner)

One of many things to like about Germany is the array of sausages and meats available for a quick and tasty snack or meal. While the old fashioned butcher shop is hard to find, there are alternatives to the supermarkets.

A Meat/Food Shop

While a chain, this shop provides an array of sausages and more to locals and to savvy travelers. For those with a means to cook, they have ready-to-cook items in one section; a quick sandwich and similar for on the go; and, for the foodie, an array of cheeses and meats that make a truly delightful meal or snack while on the move.

An Interior View

Knowing that we are going to be busy, I grabbed an array of sausage, meats, and cheese to keep in my room. My local abode comes with a small refrigerator, and I am considering upgrading to a unit with a small kitchenette on my next stay…

A fuller review of the meats and such is to come, but I thought I would get your Friday off to a tasty start. Oh, and to be clear, the bacon in the lunch shot is for a small bit of cooking I’m going to get to do here on Sunday.

One of the reasons that I still go to the much-hated Brighton Beach is the butcher shops :o ) You can get whatever you want however you want and it is fresh-cut meat… can’t wait till the Lent is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o )
